Lili at 8 weeks and 1.2 lbs had a rough start in life! She had a respiratory infection so bad she ruptured her trachea and air had filled in her body under her skin!
She was meant for my Son who lives alone and we were not looking for a Cat or Kitten but in some ways Lili saved me back. She was a very costly little girl and I was determined to save her.
The Vet did not think she would make it through the weekend! She had many medications and I had to feed her every two hours a prescription watery food through a syringe. On Day 2 she went crazy biting and ripping what she was biting including me...I knew instantly the medication that was added the day before was the culprit and after looking it up I called the vet. We stopped this medication and she started to come around. Once she made it to day 3 I knew she was fighting hard to get better!
Oh no! Another problem I discovered where the trachea had ruptured internally a cyst had formed on her neck so yet another trip Scheduled for the vet.
What else could go wrong...Lili bit her tongue the night before going to get her Cyst checked out and an entire side sliver of her tongue was hanging out of her mouth! The vet was amazing...she drained the cyst and let me know the tongue will heal quickly so to leave it she will just have a weird shaped tongue once it heals.
Oh Lili, you have used so many lives like a glass kitty and I have grown to love you so! My son was so freaked out by all of these events he asked if I would be upset if he wanted me to keep her...Having allergic reactions in the past but none with Lili my husband agreed we would keep her.
I had been going through a very hard time during this Covid-19 world and she has given me hope, love and perseverance. Lili is a delight for everyone in the house!
Lili is Moana's best friend, has made my husband dance, she wrestles with stuffed toys like a dog and her favourite toy is a bottle cap or tiny toy mice. Lili lines up with the dogs for treats and waits for me to come home...She is everyones shadow and most of all she loves us all back.
Never underestimate the ability to heal and become strong!
